Environmental Footprint, Fingerprint, Imprint

There's a shade of green in everything we print. At Franklin Press, the environment, a.k.a. the future, is important to us. We make every effort to operate in the most environmentally responsible manner possible.

First and Foremost

We produce no hazardous waste at our facility—none. Our specific use of soy ink, low VOCs and recycled paper sets a sustainable tone. In addition to environmentally friendly materials, we keep an environmentally conscious attitude. By integrating our commitment into our day-to-day operation, we find ways to minimize waste, energy and time. Doing better for our plant and everyone's planet.

We currently hold these environmental certifications and associations:

Forest Stewardship Council®

The Forest Stewardship Council® sets standards for responsible forest management. A voluntary program, FSC® uses the power of the marketplace to protect forests for future generations.

Sustainable Forestry Initiative®

SFI Inc.® is an independent, nonprofit organization with a forest certification standard that is based on principles that promote sustainable forest management, including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and Forests with Exceptional Conservation Value.

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification

PEFC is the world's largest forest certification system. Their credible standards seek to transform the way forests are managed globally—and locally—to ensure that all of us can enjoy the environmental, social and economic benefits that forests offer

Minnesota Great Printer Environmental Initiative

A voluntary effort by printers to demonstrate their commitment to minimize their impact on human health and the environment while producing quality printed products.

Where We Live

Franklin Press is a family—a family that lives in a community of families and friends. We see beyond our walls and our routines to the broader picture of doing what we can to raise the bar for everyone. Our sense of service is not limited to the next project on press.
